Edit Bookmark

Use Edit bookmark when a saved link needs a better title, new Board, different Tags, or an updated Note.

Open the edit dialog​

  1. Open a Bookmark.
  2. Select the edit action from the Bookmark view sheet or item menu.
  3. The Edit bookmark dialog opens.

Update fields​

You can edit:

  • URL.
  • Title.
  • Board.
  • Tags.
  • Note.

Select Update Bookmark to save your changes.

Move to another Board​

Use the Board field to move a Bookmark to a different Board. You can also move Bookmarks in bulk with Bulk Actions.

Update Tags​

Use Tags to add or remove labels. If you need to clean up every Bookmark using a Tag, use the Tag Manager flow in Create and Manage Tags.

AI suggestions while editing​

Pro users may see AI actions such as Summarize with Marqly AI or tag suggestions depending on the Bookmark and account settings.

Change the cover​

Pro users can choose the image shown on a Bookmark's card. Right-click a Bookmark and open Cover, or use the cover button in the Edit bookmark dialog.

  • Choose from page images… shows the images on the bookmarked page that are large enough to look sharp, in their real shapes. Pick one, frame it, and select Save cover. Images marked Low resolution work, but look softer on large screens. Some sites don't allow automatic access. You can still upload an image or paste an image URL.
  • Upload uses an image from your device.
  • URL uses an image from a link you paste.
  • Default replaces the picture with a cover made from the site's icon.

Zoom stops before the image would turn blurry. If you close the editor with a crop you haven't saved, Marqly asks before discarding it.

Common validation messages​

  • Invalid URL: use a complete http or https link.
  • Duplicate URL: Marqly already has this Bookmark.
  • Title, Note, or Tag too long: shorten the field and try again.
