Create and Manage Tags

Tags are created when you add them to Bookmarks. You can manage existing Tags from the Tag menu.

Open the Tag menu

Right-click a Tag or long-press it on touch devices. The menu can include:

• Change color.
• Edit tagged bookmarks.
• Rename.
• Delete.

Rename a Tag

1. Open the Tag menu.
2. Select Rename.
3. Enter the new Tag name.
4. Save.

Renaming a Tag updates the Tag across Bookmarks that use it.

Delete a Tag

1. Open the Tag menu.
2. Select Delete.
3. Confirm the deletion.

Deleting a Tag removes the Tag from Bookmarks. It does not delete the Bookmarks.

Edit tagged bookmarks

Use Edit tagged bookmarks to open the Tag Manager sheet for that Tag. The sheet lists every Bookmark that currently uses the Tag, regardless of the Board you are viewing.

1. Right-click a Tag or long-press it on a touch device.
2. Select Edit tagged bookmarks.
3. Use Search bookmarks... to narrow the list by title or URL.
4. Select one Bookmark, several Bookmarks, or Select all for the visible results.
5. Choose one of the available actions:
   • Remove from [Tag] removes the current Tag from the selected Bookmarks.
   • Move to... removes the current Tag and adds another existing Tag.
   • The row-level Move to... and x actions let you change one Bookmark at a time.
6. Review the staged changes. Rows with pending changes appear muted.
7. Use Undo on a row to reverse one staged change, or Discard to clear all pending changes.
8. Select Save to apply the tag edits.

If saving fails for one or more Bookmarks, keep the sheet open and try Save again. Marqly skips changes that already saved successfully.

Reorder Tags

Drag Tags to reorder them in the Tag carousel.
