Subboards

Subboards let you group related Boards under a parent Board.

Create a nested Board

1. Open the menu for the parent Board.
2. Select Create Nested Board.
3. Enter a name.
4. Choose an icon or color if needed.
5. Save.

Nesting limit

Marqly limits Board nesting to two levels. If you reach the maximum depth, the app shows that the maximum depth has been reached.

Move a Board under another Board

1. Open the Board menu.
2. Select Move to Another Board.
3. Choose the destination.
4. Save the move.

You can also drag Boards in the sidebar when the target position is valid.

When to use Subboards

Use Subboards for sections that clearly belong under a parent:

• Work Dashboard > Client A.
• Research Hub > Competitors.
• Learning Tracker > Courses.
• Inspiration Board > UI Patterns.

If a topic crosses many Boards, use a Tag instead.
